What you'll see
Avocets nest on the freshmarsh in spring; the brackish marsh holds passage waders + breeding terns. Bearded tits are reliable in autumn. Spring + autumn migration brings rare-bird potential — Norfolk is firmly on the east-coast drift route. Winter sees big wildfowl numbers + occasional Snow Bunting on the beach.
How to visit
RSPB members free, £8 non-members. Wide flat path leads to beach in 20 mins. Three hides en route. Visitor centre, café, accessible. Family-friendly.
